ZADI LOCKS FOR THE NEW COMMERCIAL VAN OF PIAGGIO
Piaggio, the well-known Italian manufacturer of two-wheeled motor vehicles and commercial vehicles, chooses Zadi VBU for the new range of vans, called “Porter NP6”. Piaggio will install the locks of the Caravan BASIC line – designed and producted by Zadi – on the sliding doors of the new commercial vans.
The synergy between Zadi and the companies of the HB4 Group has been fundamental.
We started with a classic Zadi caravan lock, designed for a swing door. The R&D’s division of Cevlab have reviewed the project to adapt it to the sliding door. The final solution was to design a new mechanism with internal steel plates support.
RLM did the laser cutting and bending processes. Zadi has produced the plastic shell and the zamak parts, than CSI (Zadi’s division) has assemblied of the all lock components. Finally, the lock has been tested and certificate in Cevlab’s laboratory.
